UAE Pledges $10 Billion Investment in Pakistan

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has allocated $10 billion for investment in Pakistan following a meeting between UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to details, the Emirati state news agency WAM reported that the UAE government announced the allocation of $10 billion for investment in various economic sectors in Pakistan.

Media sources indicate that this announcement was made following a meeting between UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. The meeting included discussions on bilateral relations, encompassing political, economic, and defense cooperation.

According to a government statement, the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Minister of Defense Khawaja Asif, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, who accompanied the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing partnership with the UAE, particularly in the fields of information technology, renewable energy, and tourism.

The Prime Minister expressed determination to ensure investment in Pakistan by the UAE in sectors such as energy, port operations, food security, communications, minerals, banking, and financial services.

During the meeting, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed assured Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of the UAE’s commitment to invest $10 billion in Pakistan.
