15th All Pakistan Inter-University Debate Contest
The International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) in collaboration with Higher Education Commission, Pakistan (HEC) is holding “15th All Pakistan Inter-University Debate Contest for Award of Allama Iqbal Shield at Regional Level” on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 09:00 am, at Quaid-e-Azam Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus, Islamabad. Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad, Acting President IIUI shall be the chief guest while Mr. Farman Ullah Anjum, Director General (Academics) HEC shall be the guest of honour on the occasion.
Programme on “Human Rights Day”
The Lincoln Corner, Central Library of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan is holding a programme on “Human Rights Day” to honour the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption and proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) on December 19, 2012 at 11:30 am in the seminar room of the Central Library of the University. Brian Bedell, Political Officer, U.S. Embassy and Robert (Roc) Raines, Deputy Cultural Attache , U.S. Embassy Islamabad would be the guest speakers while Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad, Acting President IIUI will chair the programme.
Book launching ceremony
Critical Thinking Forum of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) is holding book launching ceremony of book titled “ Education, Inequalities and Freedom: A Sociopolitical Critique by Dr. Shahid Siddiqui an eminent educationist and Linguist, Today (Wednesday), December 19, 2012 at 03:30 pm, at Allama Iqbal Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus of the University. Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad, Acting President IIUI will chair the event while Dr. Noor Amna Malik, Learning Innovation Project Director, HEC will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Dr. Afshan Huma, University of Michigan, U.S.A, Dr. Samina Amin Qadir, Vice Chancellor, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi and Dr. Munazza Yaqoob, Incharge Dept. of English, IIUI will also address on the occasion.
