Islamabad: The Additional Attorney General KK Agha on Thursday told the Supreme Court that the government was considering giving monthly earning allowance of Rs60,000 to the families of missing persons .
An SC bench headed by Justice Javed Iqbal was hearing the missing persons case observed that the government was facing economic crunch and the Zakat fund could be exploited to compensate the families of missing persons.
Justice Javed remarked that he would personally contact with the secretary finance in this regard.
During the hearing Amina Masood Janjua, a human activist told the court that the interior ministry wanted to brief the court in account of missing persons in Judges Chamber .On this Justice Javed remarked that nothing would be kept secret except matter of security.
The Additional AG told the court that final report of eight missing persons would be presented in the court till next month.
