Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Coordination Committee on Friday condemned the acts of violence in Karachi that took place in the metropolis during the strike announced by the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP).
In a statement issued here the committee slammed the violence that caused civilians death and public arson in the city and called on the public to be ready to protect Karachi and Sindh.
The statement issued from MQM’s headquarters stated, “The way terrorists have spread violence across the city, by causing civilian deaths, arson, robberies and forced shutdowns, is not just distressful but it is a wake up call for us.”
The Rabita committee appealed to the people of Sindh, especially Karachi to standup against these elements like they previously have.
In another statement made by the committee, it was said that the MQM’s Rabita committee in London and Karachi were acutely monitoring all the incidents and would soon advice on a future course of action.
