Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is likely to cut federal cabinet on Friday.
According to sources the majority of state ministers would be sent home. Minister-level advisers and other technocrats would also be sacked.
The ministers of ten ministries devolved to provinces, are likely to be right-sized.
The sources said federal ministers including Syed Khurshid Shah, Naveed Qamar, Rehman Malik and Shah Mehmood Qureshi are expected to retain their offices.
The step is being taken to implement PML-N 10 point agenda, the sources said.
