Islamabad: Pakistan Federal cabinet has accorded approval to ECC recommendations and holding talks with China to purchase submarines.
Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said this while giving briefing to media persons after federal cabinet meeting on Monday.
She said President Asif Ali Zardari would address parliament on March, 22.
About Raymond Davis matter she said court would decide about diplomatic immunity of Raymond Davis. Government respected court’s verdicts, she held.
She went on to say no clash could take place if the mandate of the institutions was accepted. “We want to take all along including Muttahida Qaumi Movement”, she reiterated.
She said that two C-130 planes were in ready position for carrying relief goods to Japan. As soon as signal was received from Japan, the work for provision of relief assistance to Japan would be started, she said.
Briefing had been given to cabinet about prices of food items, information minister stated. Approval was also given to beef up cooperation in the field of culture, she added. The political situation of the country had also been discussed in the meeting.
Considerable dip has been witnessed in inflation, she told. Borrowing from state bank has also declined, she added.
