Israeli Drone Attack in Lebanon Targets Hezbollah Commanders; 2 Martyred

Beirut: Israel has once again targeted a vehicle carrying Hezbollah commanders in Lebanon in a drone attack, resulting in the martyrdom of 2 commanders of the VIP Protection Unit.

According to international news sources, Israel continues its series of targeting Hezbollah’s strongholds and leaders in Lebanon. The recent drone attack targeted a vehicle near a military checkpoint in the district of Bint Jbeil.

The car was completely destroyed in the drone attack, and intense flames engulfed it, also setting fire to another nearby vehicle. According to Arab media, the identification of the two commanders martyred in the drone attack reveals their association with the VIP Protection Unit of Hezbollah, including one named Fadel Shaar.

Earlier, Israel first conducted a drone attack on a car in Lebanon, resulting in the martyrdom of an important leader of the Quds Force’s Palestinian branch, Ali Muhammad Haderaj,

In a similar manner, Israel targeted Hamas’ deputy leader, Saleh al-Arouri, in Lebanon. In another attack, Israel martyred the most skilled commander of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Wissam al-Tawil.

The Israeli offensive has now targeted Hamas in Gaza and the West Bank, Israel, following its campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon,  and more recently launched a missile attack on Iran’s Revolutionary Guards’ Intelligence Office in the capital city of Damascus, killing 4 key commanders, including the head of Intelligence. On the other hand, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a missile attack on Israeli military positions along the Lebanon-Israel border, asserting that Israeli barracks were destroyed in the heavy bombardment.

It is worth noting that in the past 24 hours, Israeli attacks in Gaza have resulted in a tragic toll, with at least 190 people killed and 340 wounded. The besieged southern city of Khan Younis has witnessed dozens of reported fatalities as Israeli forces target vital facilities such as hospitals, ambulances, and schools, where thousands of civilians seek refuge. Dr Ahmed al-Moghrabi, the head of plastic surgery and burns at Khan Younis’s Nasser Hospital, reports ongoing bombings in their vicinity. Shockingly, the overall toll from Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7 has reached at least 25,295 people, including 10,800 children and 7,250 women, with an additional 63,000 individuals sustaining injuries.
