Thailand Announces Visa-Free Entry for 60 Countries

Bangkok: The Thai government has granted permission for citizens of 60 countries to enter Thailand without a visa for up to one month.

In an effort to promote tourism, the Thai government has allowed people from more than 60 countries and regions to visit Thailand for 30 days without the need for a visa.

According to the Consular Affairs Office of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among the included countries and regions are Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bahrain, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, and France.

Moreover, citizens from Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Monaco, Netherlands, and New Zealand can also enter Thailand without a visa.

The facility of visa-free travel to Thailand will also be extended to citizens of Norway, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam.

Under reciprocal agreements, individuals holding passports from Cambodia and Myanmar can enter Thailand and stay without a visa for up to 14 days.

This applies exclusively to international airports for those entering the country.

Non-citizens holding passports from Hong Kong, Laos, Macau, Mongolia, Russia, and Vietnam can stay in Thailand for up to 30 days.

Citizens of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, South Korea, and Peru can stay in Thailand without a visa for up to 90 days. Russian passport holders are eligible for a visa-free stay of 90 days from November 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024.

Temporary visa-free entry is currently in effect for citizens of China and Kazakhstan from September 25, 2023, to February 29, 2024, and for Indian and Taiwanese citizens from November 10 to May 10.
