Oil tanker accident fire claim six lives, 16 injured

MUZAFAR GARH: Oil tanker accident in Muzaffar Garh caused a fire claiming two lives on the spot and four severely injured died in the hospital.

The accident happened near Qasba Gujrat in the Muzaffar Garh district of Punjab. Rescue teams reached the spot immediately and started rescue operations at the oil tanker fire incident location to contain the oil spill and fire caused by the oil tanker accident.

Injured were transferred to the near by hospital where another four people have died so far and sixteen people are injured.

Chief Minister Punjab Shabaz Sharif announced 5 lac per person compensation for families of the deceased victims and 2 lac each for injured.
