Pakistan vs England 3rd Test Day 5 highlights: Pakistan seal the series 2-0 with emphatic win

SHARJAH: Pakistan have England in Sharjah Test by 40 runs to win the series 2-0, courtesy to magical performance from spin cordon at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

England resumed their innings from 46-2, Root and Cook started off the proceedings but soon Pakistani spin asset Yasir Shah sent back Joe Root on 6 runs.

Zulfiqar Babar sent back fifty maker of England’s 1st innings James Taylor with the help of Younis Khan in the first slip, he made just 2 runs.

Yasir Shah with his magic made a way for Bairstow to walk back to pavilion without even opening his account.

Samit patel had no clue to Zulfiqar Babar’s spin and lost his wicket without even opening his account, it was a straight delivery which deceived Patel.

After losing 6 wickets at just 59 runs Adil Rashid and England’s skipper Cook resisted for a while but in swinging delivery of Rahat Ali has dismissed Adil Rashid, he departed after scoring 22 runs.

Cook is unbeaten at crease with well fighting 50 runs, Broad is helping him with 10 runs in the pocket.

Yesterday England got 284 runs to win the Test and got the best chance to level the series but Shoaib Malik shattered their dreams by taking back to back wickets last evening.

England at the moment 120-7 and it still need 164 runs to win the match where Pakistan just need 3 wickets to lift the cup.

Earlier, in the second innings, Pakistan were wrapped up on 234 runs courtesy to James Anderson’s four-for 17.

England in reply posted 306 on the board, with a handy lead of 72 runs.

Pakistan’s opener Mohammad Hafeez and and Azhar Ali started second inning in quite a confident manner, before Azhar Ali walked back on 101.

He felt prey of misunderstanding between him and Hafeez. He scored 38 runs.

Hafeez went on to produce runs and made 151 runs before returning to hut.

Pakistan team after him could not make big partnerships and were all out on 355, leaving 284 target fro England.

Misbah 38, Sarfraz 36 and Asad Shafiq 46 were other prominent scores in the second innings.

Broad took 3 for 44 from England.
