Air Chief Sohail Aman phones PM Nawaz, briefs about operation Badaber

PESHAWAR: Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman who is personally supervising the recent operation against terrorist on Badaber camp has phoned Prime Minsiter Nawaz Sharif.

Air Chief briefed PM regarding ongoing Badaber operation and now has left for Peshawar

Chief of Army Staff General Rahel Sharif has also left for Peshawar where he will meet the soldier taking part in recent operation, he will also visit injured soldiers and civilians.

Earlier, terrorists attacked the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) camp in the Badaber area, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Friday, adding that at least eight attackers had been killed.

At least 25 people, including 10 soldiers, have so far been reported to have been injured as Pakistan Army commandos, and personnel of the Pakistan Air Force and Quick Reaction Force (QRF) carry out a clearance operation.

DG ISPR Major General Asim Bajwa tweeted that eight terrorists had been killed while the search for hidden terrorists was underway.

He said that 10 soldiers, including two army officers, were wounded in the exchange of fire with the militants at the Badaber base, 10 kilometres south of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Maj-Gen Bajwa said that the Corps Commander Peshawar is currently on the ground overseeing the operation.
