Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in first Test by ten wickets

GALLE: Pakistan clinched an emphatic ten-wicket win against Sri Lanka at Galle in the first of the three-Test-match series.It was Sarfraz’s heroic (96 off 86) balls and Asad Shafiq’s patience (131 off 253) followed by Zulfiqar Babar’s quick fifty that changed the fat of Pakistan team which has lost its five early wickets for 96 runs in first innings.

Yasir Shah’s magical spell did the rest for the guests as he took career best 7-76 to in second innings, over all 9 wickets in this Test match.

Pakistan restricted hosts to 206 on fifth day’s morning, getting only 90 runs to chase for victory.

Squash buckling Shehzad and Hafeez’s pacy innings raced the green shirts towards a ten-wicket victory in only 11.2 overs.

Sarfaraz Ahmad was declared man of the match for his tremendous performance.

According to sources, Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar also extended his congratulations to Pakistan cricket team on wining test match against Sri Lanka.

Pakistan’s cricket team captain, Misbha ul Haq also expressed his happiness over wining the first test against Sri Lanka. He said that team would also show good performance in the upcoming matches.

The second Test starts at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo on Thursday.
