Inside story of cancellation of Prime Minister and Asif Zardari meeting

ISLAMABAD – Information minister Pervez Rasheed has said that cabinet has suggested Prime Minister not to meet Asif Zardari after his statement about Pakistan Army on Tuesday.

Meeting of Nawaz Sharif with Asif Zardari has become a mystery. PPP sources told that there was no meeting scheduled, PM house authorities also confirmed tha there was no meeting in written schedule.

But party sources of PML-N have said that meeting was cancelled by PM. Around 1 pm, spokesman of ex-president, Farhatullah Babar has told media that Asif Zardari will leave for PM house in a while.

Meeting between PM and AZ was to be held on lunch but later it was reported to be at 3pm. Just before 3pm, Farhatullah Babar came up with statement that meeting has been postponed with mutual consent.

Later on in a press briefing Pervez Rasheed confirmed that it was the cabinet, which suggested PM not to meet Asif Zardari after his statement about Pak Army last night. While sources of Zardari House still claiming that meeting was cancelled with the mutual consent.
