Tahirul Qadri’s demands declared ‘fictitious’ by Pakistan govt

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan government has rejected the possibilities to fulfill demands presented by Tahirul Qadri just for ‘temporary extension in deadline for few hours’, local media reported on Wednesday.

Consultation meeting of Pakistan’s higher authorities is underway in Islamabad for discussing the demands of protesting chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Tahirul Qadri.

Pakistan government declared the Qadri’s demands ‘fictitious’ and ‘impossible to be implemented’.

Governmental sources revealed that the higher authorities have completely agreed to commence investigation and to follow the court orders on Model Town incident.

A significant question has been raised during the high-level meeting, ‘How is it possible to dissolve parliament on demand of a person who is not even an elected parliamentarian?’

Pakistan government adopted its stance that all legal needs of the protestors will be fulfilled excluded the illegal pressure while ‘real agenda of Tahirul Qadri will be exposed before the nation’.

Two demands of Tahirul Qadri for deadline extension:

1. Tahirul Qadri has demanded the registration of First Investigation Report (FIR) against accused persons of Model Town incident where 14 PAT workers were killed during a police operation while protesting against government, sources said.

2. PAT chief demanded resignations of Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and all nominated provincial ministers in the Model Town incident case, sources added.
