Imran Khan assured govt of not crossing Red Zone: Interior Minister says

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said that Imran Khan has assured the federal government for not crossing Red Zone in Islamabad and the statement is on record.


Chaudhry Nisar said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has sent message to the government while a rapid reply has been given to him.

The interior minister has made the revelatory statement just before the end of deadline given by the protesting PTI chief Imran Khan for 48 hours.

Nisar formally announced that duty of Red Zone’s security has been handed over the Pakistan military including few more undisclosed deployments in surroundings of key governmental installments in the federal capital Islamabad.

He detailed that the security map is comprising of three layers including Police, para-military forces Rangers and Pakistan Army respectively.

The interior minister made the significant announcements during an important press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday.

He assured that Pakistan military is the responsible of current political situation of the country and the military troops were not called in the federal capital for being used against any political party.

Chaudhry Nisar said that the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led government once again invited the protesting political parties, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), for holding dialogues.

He urged the PTI chief to avoid ego, as well as demanded Tahirul Qadri to eliminate inflammatory moves via accepting dialogue paths to resolve all issues.
