Peshawar: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj ul Haq on Saturday has categorically given a policy statement that his party will never become a part of any plan to derail democracy as it is the only way to deliver to the people of Pakistan.
Talking to media, Haq said it is the fact that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had failed to hold free and fair election in Pakistan and the JI also dented in the general election, adding that but the JI wanted to continue the system as this is only way to take revenge.
He said that federal government has now completed one year but failed to deliver as people still facing severe load shedding, unemployment and fear of terrorism.
He said that it is not a time to do politics, but to deliver to the poor and helpless people of the country, adding that the coalition government in Khyber Pukhtunkhuwa (KPK) will eliminate corruption.
Haq demanded the federal government to end load shedding and to provide employment opportunities to the youth otherwise situation can be changed
Regarding dialogue process with Taliban, he said that the JI played a vital role to take both the Taliban and the government on the one table
If the current round of dialogue become failed so the government should start another round as it is the is the only way to create peace in the country.
