KARACHI: An educated citizen of the metropolis, Shamoon Qaiser, was brutally killed by dacoits infront of a private bank ATM over having only Rs500 in his pocket.
Shamoon Qaiser was killed in a violent attack twelve days ago by an aggressive dacoit when he went furious over recovering Rs500 from his pocket, local media reported.
According to the media footage, Qaiser came out from ATM section of a private bank, suddenly a capped dacoit demanded money but subsequently killed in anger after finding the currency amount less than expectations.
Shamoon Qaiser was reportedly a teacher at a local school and editor of a magazine, while he has to tie knot after 3 month.
The sorrowful incident reportedly took place within premisis Sir Syed police station on Saturday night nearly at 12:00 mid-night , however, the police failed to take any action against criminals despite being contacted by the relatives.
Qaiser received serious injuries following gun shot from the dacoit; local residents shifted him to nearby hospital but he succumbed to injuries while being shifted for medical treatment.
Unofficial sources said that Qaiser was killed outside Meezan Bank’s ATM cell located at UP round about and performing his professional duties as a teacher at Usman Public School Campus 9 as well as editor of a children magazine ‘VShine’.
Local police department showed extra-ordinary negligence over the case; even the incident footage was not demanded by the bank.
Ahmed Chinoy, chief of Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), said that it is impossible to deploy police officials on each ATM machine.
Chinoy said that police department should take immediate action in the violent incident.
He suggested that all banks should make arrangements for online monitoring of their ATM cells.
