KARACHI: Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has announced the results of the Higher Secondary Schools Part-II Humanities and Commerce group for the private candidates for the year 2013.
In the faculty of Humanities the first position was sought by Sumaiya Amin D/o Muhammad Amin, Second by Madiha Jabbar D/o Abdul Jabbar & Syed Muhammad Usama S/o Syed Ubaid Ullah and Third by Fatima D/o Haroon Rashid.
Whereas, the first position for Commerce Group went to Aqsa Zareen D/o Muhammad Zareen, Second to Omaimah Syed D/o Syed Mubeen Ahmed and Third Altamash Ashraf S/o Tariq Ashraf.
According to the official statistics, in all 10472 candidates appeared at Humanities group out of which 5841 were declared passed in various grades.
Passing ratio of the faculty remained as 55.78% while the number of candidates took part in the examination of Commerce faculty were 10219 out of which 4941 candidates were declared passed in various grades and passing percentage of this faculty was 48.35%.
While announcing the results the Chairman Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi Professor Anwar Ahmed Zai said that the cycle of the announcement of the result was completed with these two results according to the schedule.
He said that during the year 2013 all the results were declared before the deadline given by the Steering Committee of the Provincial Department of Education.
He further said that the pass percentage of the private candidates at HSC Commerce and Humanities was the manifestation of the well thought strategy evolved for the preparation of objective type of examination paper with five different versions.
Professor Anwar Ahmed Zai further emphasized upon the need of having fool proof system at the examination centres for which the exercise was already being taken to try out during the next annual examination of 2014.
He showed satisfaction over the performance of the BIE’s Graduates during test conducted by professional colleges of the province. He said that the seat numbers of the candidates were being exhibited on their examination papers as well through the centrally computerized system of examination work already introduced in the Inter Board.
