ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has demanded for imposition of taxes on elites of the country instead of crushing lower and middle class people via inflation.
Imran Khan, while talking with media on Thursday, slammed the federal government by saying increment in different products’ rates is the best way to fill own pockets.
Khan said that government should know about the fact, hike in petroleum prices increase rates of each product. He added that inflation being made on orders of International Monitory Funds (IMF).
Commenting over the ongoing operation in Karachi, he clarified that peace cannot be established in the metropolis till the authorities take strict action against armed wings.
The PTI chief answered a question raised by a journalist in the press conference, “What message was given through bomb explosions?”, “Government should finalise strategy for peace talks as Pakistani nation wants peace now.”
He added that anti-state elements want to sabotage the process of peace dialogue.
Imran Khan said that the federal government took no consultation from PTI for the appointment of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairperson.
