PESHAWAR: A suspicious blast followed by fire near a police station situated in the northwest province of Pakistan, here on Saturday (today).
According to SP, Roral Shafiullah, the blast occurred near the Budh Beer area, which caused fire in the ‘mal khana’ of the police station.
The incident cannot be termed terrorism yet but the possibility couldn’t be ruled out either.
Peshawar has remained highly sensitive among the cities affected by terrorism and it is an additional responsibility of law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order there during the general elections.
