Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry expressed his displeasure over Aitzaz Ahsan’s plea for a change of bench, saying that Aitzaz had already appeared before the bench.
The CJ said if this was allowed, everyone would demand a bench of their own choice.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the LPG quota case on Monday.
The plea for a change of the bench was made by an assistant of Barrister Ahsan that annoyed the court.
The assistant told the court that Aitzaz had already explained the reasons as to why he did not want to appear before the bench.
