Lahore: World snooker champion Muhammad Asif said on Sunday that government and officials just announced financial aid, none had given yet.
Asif reached the temple road snooker club in the provincial capital to meet his coach where he was welcomed warmly.
On that occasion Asif told media that he could play on professional level if he would be provided financial resources.
He further said that snooker could not progress without departmental support and sponsorship.
“Government and officials only promised financial help. I have not received any cheque from anyone so far,” Asif added.
