Karachi: Pakistan Army on Saturday contacted Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Sindh chapter for the verification of the voter lists in Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan, as per orders from Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The Supreme Court had directed the ECP to carry out door-to-door campaign to verify the electoral rolls in Karachi and ask Pakistan army and Frontier constabulary for help in this regard.
According to Provincial election commissioner Sonu Khan, the army officials contacted him over the verification of the voter lists in Karachi and a meeting was called on December 13 to further plan the door-to-door verification process.
