Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court on Friday granted seven-day bail to Pakistan People’s Party leader Makhdoom Shahabuddin in ephedrine quota case.
Shahabuddin whose name as candidate for the prime minister was withdrawn at the eleventh house after a court issued arrest warrants for him.
He appeared before the Chief justice Peshawar High Court Dost Muhammad Khan where he was granted seven-day bail against the surety bonds of Rs 2 million.
Following the issuance of arrest warrants for Shahabuddin, the PPP nominated Raja Pervez Ashraf as its candidate for the slot of prime minister.
