Karachi: Pakistan media industry has been growing by leaps and bound for the past one decade and advertising is one of the most challenging fields needs improvisation, appreciation and recognition for its growth, success and credibility.
Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) Awards is an effort to unite its stakeholders and talented professionals at the platform to appreciate the talented minds their creative work and out-of-box ideas.
These views were expressed by Qamar Abbas, Director PAS, in an exclusive interview with TheNewsTribe.
The awards is an initiative to promote competition among advertisers, encouraging new trends and rewarding professionals of the field with exuberance and celebration. The event has been aimed and envisioned in a way that it would be an Oscar for local media industry and people of the industry will unleash their potential and creativity in the field of advertising to win laurel at the annual event.
The event has been planned for every calendar but it takes a little delay since this is an initiating and biggest activity of the advertising industry at PAS platform, said Abbas in an ambitious tone.
“We have received tremendous response from stakeholders after organizing the first event, now it is being discussed and has become an important event for everyone who is the part of the industry,” said cheerful Abbas while referring to the submission of increasing number of entries submission for the contest.
I believe the awards ceremony will be more excitement and different than the first one because now stakeholders of the industry are taking its seriously to enter the race that recognize their efforts, strategies and creativity.
There are talented planners, creative artists, and marketers in advertising field and they were talking about an event where they should be encouraged and recognized for motivation of their work and achievement of their goals and now PAS is actually a working towards this direction to promote its people on merit basis.
There are 27 different categories based on advertisement production for various commercial sectors that will cover all media and 360 activities of advertising agencies including tv and radio channels, newspapers and magazines, billboards and outdoor media Qamar added. It will focus on diversified ATL and BTL activities of the agencies and their clients brands, which also including their CSR and public awareness campaigns.
The jury will be comprised off seniors, renowned and successful professionals of the industry, well known academicians, senior marketers and expert planner of the industry.
The advertising is a challenging field where professionals should be capable to produce an extraordinary work for branding and marketing of products and services in a way that will result boost of sales and business of its clients associate with different sectors, Director PAS explained.
Advertising field is old as media industry but the boom was witnessed with the launch of TV channels and demand of advertisement production and marketing campaigns saw a steep surge therefore, the planners, creative directors and marketers deliberate on research and development of the sector through concentrated and united efforts.
PAS Awards is the effort to gather its media people and promote code of ethics, best advertising practices, and discourage imitation culture among them.
