Karachi: A pedestrian was killed and student injured in a clash between two student groups in a local college in Karachi city of Pakistan, police source said on Monday.
The sources said that the student groups clashed in in Sefi College, situated in North Karachi area of the city, due to the conflict over cheating during the examination. They added that the one group opened fire on another after its few activists resisted them cheating in the exam, killing a pedestrian or a student and injured another one.
The college administration called the police which arrested 15 students,” the sources said and added that the administration had announced to close the college for three days.
According to local sources, a person was killed after police opened fired to pacify the situation. The deceased was a passer-by and believed to be either a student or a outsider.
Later it was confirmed that the deceased belong to a student group Islami Jamiat Talba, Arif Khan.
Earlier, a student received bullet wounds in the recent incident was not identified so far by police officials.
