Peshawar: At least four policemen including an SHO were killed and six others injured when three suicide bombers blew themselves up on a police station in northwestern city of Peshawar on Friday.
Sources said that about 10 militant, armed with automatic weapons attacked ‘C-Division’ Police Station of the city, adding that three of the terrorist blew themselves up at the police station.
According to local TV, the 40-minute battle left eight policemen injured out of which three including SHO Munawar Khan succumbed to their injuries in the Lady Reading Hospital.
CCPO Peshawar Imtiaz Altaf told the media that two policemen were killed and six others were injured.
Police and security agencies cordoned off the area and started investigations.
Peshawar has been a frequent target of militant over the last few years. On Thursday, 12 people were killed in a car bomb attack at bus terminal in the city.
