Islamabad: A two-member delegation of Pakistan Army’s JAG Brach has met Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq in his office in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, sources said on Thursday.
The sources said that PPP leader Babar Awan is attending the meeting. They said that the army team with the help of Attorney General is busy in giving final touch to the reply which is to be submitted to the apex court on behalf of the Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and ISI Chief Lieutenant General Ahmed Shuja Pasha in connection with the memogate scandal as today is the deadline.
Pakistani-American Mansoor Ijaz and ex Islamabad’s ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani have submitted their replies to the court so far.
The Judge Advocate General Branch (JAG) of the Pakistan Armed Forces is composed of Pakistan’s military senior officers, lawyers and judges who provide legal services to the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines at all levels of command.
