Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has accepted Pakistan former ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani’s plea for hearing against putting his name on Exit Control List (ECL)in memogate scandal case.
Advocate on Record Chaudhry Akhtar Ali told media that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhamamd Chaudhry heard the application in his chamber and accepted it for regular hearing..
He said that the hearing into the application would be conducted on December 19.” CJ has accepted our view that court interim order could be challenged,” he added.
The SC had ordered the government to put Haqqani’s name on the ECL in the interim verdict into the multiple petitions filed by PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and others.
