Mirpur: Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 76 runs in the second one-day international at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday.
Pakistan made a good score of 262 with the help of quick fifty by young Umar Akmal and little cameo by Shahid Afridi of 42 off just 27 balls. While captain Misbah-ul-Haq, opener Mohammad Hafeez and veteran Younis Khan chipped in with 37, 32 and 37, respectively.
Bangladesh had an early collapse as they lost 4 wickets on just 19 runs. But young Nasir Hussain played outstandingly well and made a century. But the tigers managed only 186/7 till 50 overs.
Fast bowler Umar Gul was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan who took four important wickets.
