Karachi: Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani has accepted that law and order situation in Sindh province of Pakistan was not peaceful and community policing system in this regard was being introduced.
The IGP said that he wanted to make police system like Japan. He said each police station was being distributed into four parts, and sub-inspector would be the in-charge of every police community center.
He said police need the help of the public. He said commandos were being stationed at 200 points in Karachi to maintain law and order situation in the metropolis. The IGP said that the person would not work, who will not be part of his team.
Durrani said that the system would help to make Karachi 15, Eagle Scouts and investigation department effective. He said in-charge of each community system would work with 10 reputable persons of the area.
