Washington: The United States planed to drop two-thousand pound bomb on the Osama’s compound in Pakistan northwest town Abbottabad but was rejected by President Barrack Obama to avoid collateral damage , a US television reported on Tuesday.
The report said Special Forces officials those who took part in the manhunt operation had rehearsaled the operation in April,adding the operation was to be carried out on Saturday but was delayed till Sunday night.
The US troops took the body of Osama Bin Laden away to Jalalabad province of Afghanistan and carried out DNA test, after accomplishing the mission.
It noted that the DNA was matched with two of Osama’s relatives and then the body was taken to USS Carl Winson anchored at North Arabian Sea.
His body was buried in the sea after a Muslim official at the ship lead the funeral prayer of al-Qaeda chief and carried out other Islamic rituals.
The report further said that DNA of Osama was also matched with his deceased sister whose brain was preserved by the US.
