Mecca: This year, a total of 3 million individuals will perform the duty of Hajj, with the Saudi government ready to welcome a record number of pilgrims. Both the government and the private sector are prepared to provide quality services during the Hajj season.
Media reports indicate that extensive preparations have been made in Mecca and its surrounding areas to provide maximum facilities to the pilgrims and to protect them from any undue difficulties. During the month of Ramadan, around 33 million visitors were recorded at the Prophet’s (PBUH) Mosque.
According to Saudi authorities, during the Hajj season, international visitors also attend the Prophet’s Mosque before or after their pilgrimage. This time, the government has assigned responsibilities to 3500 individuals in Medina to facilitate the incoming visitors.
