Rawalpindi: A British journalist, Charles Glass, was denied permission to meet the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, at Adiala Jail.
Speaking to the media, Charles Glass stated that he had come to Adiala Jail as a friend of Imran Khan, noting that the PTI founder is enduring a harsh imprisonment. Glass mentioned that Khan is unable to see the sun in his cell and cannot meet his family and friends.
He described Imran Khan as a resilient individual who spends his time in jail reading books and praying. Glass expressed his opinion that Khan should not be behind bars and hoped for his release soon.
Glass added that he was unaware of the details regarding any negotiations involving Imran Khan. He urged Pakistani institutions to focus on addressing hunger and poverty in the country, and mentioned that Khan is preparing himself for the “drama” unfolding in Pakistan.
