Islamabad: The Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) has issued quarterly load shedding schedule of April to September, here on Monday.
According to media reports, PEPCO has issued quarterly load shedding schedule and announced to conduct load shedding for six hours in cities and 8 hours in rural areas.Industries of cement, textile and raw material are exempted from the load shedding schedule.
It has been announced in the schedule that load shedding for ten hours daily would be conducted for agriculture tube wells while 6 hours for power looms, 4 hours for industries feeder, 4 hours for ghee and flourmills, 12 hours for Furnace mills, 5 hours for Commercial markets.
The PEPCO sources told that power shortfall would be 2500 to 3000 megawatt during current year because 2000-megawatt power has been included in the power system. Prior to this shortfall was 5000 megawatt and now 3000-megawatt shortfall has reduced
