Islamabad: A National Assembly member of ruling Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP) Jamshed Dasti on Friday urged Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to step down as he failed to provide security to the assassinated minister Shahbaz Bhatti who was gunned down on Wednesday by unknown assailants.
Speaking in the NA session Dasti said that Malik should resign from his position accepting his failure in providing security to the late Minority Affairs Minister.
He added that if he was at the helm of affairs he would have resigned after such incident.
Dasti demanded of Malik to determined those elements who were behind the killing of Bhatti.
