KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader and Senator Nasreen Jalil has requested Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif to resolve the ‘YouTube’ issue as soon as possible.
She wrote a letter to the PM, in which she discussed the concerns and doubts of the nation regarding YouTube.
Jalil said that our nation is moving into the era of 3G and 4G technology and we don’t have access to the largest video sharing website. She maintained that Pakistan is the only country where the video sharing website has been banned.
MQM leader also highlighted that Human Rights committees, formulated by National Assembly and Senate, have given thumbs up for lifting ban on YouTube and even Lahore High Court (LHC) has also ordered to re-open YouTube but people in Pakistan are still deprived of the grand video search engine.
She further urged PM to unblock YouTube as this is what the people of Pakistan want and need.
