Islamabad: Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, seems to have a bit better security situation as Rapid Response Force gets active on the orders of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Prime Minister of Pakistan has ordered the installation of quick response force in the capital city. 38 such teams have also been completely activated in the districts and additional 10 officials will be appointed soon.
Prime Minister during earlier meetings with the interior minister Chaudhry Nisar, IG Islamabad Sikandar Hayat Khan and others, he emphasised on installing quick response force to which Inspector General Islamabad Police implemented in a limited time frame.
The quick response force has also been provided 24 single cabin vehicles and 2 modified Shahzor vehicles.
According to the sources, in the first step a team of 20 officials have been assigned the duties because of scarce resources. The 36 member squad will work in 3 shifts, which will be prepared to tackle the situation.
The force will be lead by commandant SP anti-terrorist squad Muhammad Hafeez, whereas the teams have been installed in different places of the locality. Sikandar Hayat, IG Islamabad has confirmed that the force has been initiated. He said that the force will work accordingly without any preference.
