Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday said that his party will announce its manifesto in public meeting in Lahore on March 23.
The cricketer turned politician also torched a ‘change-flame” and announced to kickoff change-volunteer movement. He said that his party worker would visit door-to-door and invite people to join the movement.
He said that the PTI would make one million change-volunteer in the movement.
However, Khan did not mention the number people attended the rally, but the PTI officials claim that more 100,000 people were present in mass gathering.
Khan while addressing the enthusiastic crowed said that the PTI had begun change from itself first by conducting free and fair intra-party elections.
He said that it was the PTI which had given chance to a tailor, cap seller and chatt seller to contest the intra-party election and win. He congratulated his newly elected party leader and warmly welcomed them.
The PTI chairman said that his party would end terrorism, unemployment and other problems from the country. “We will take the country out of American war.”
He strongly condemned the Lahore incident and criticised the Punjab government over the incident. “The Punjab government should feel shame over the incident.”
He said that the election volunteers would not let anyone to rig in the elections.
