Tehran: Iran has stated that if America jeopardizes our national security and sovereignty, we will respond immediately and with full force.
According to media reports, Iran issued a stern warning on Monday, asserting that it would retaliate decisively to any US attacks on its territory, following the White House’s refusal to rule out strikes on Iran. White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated on Sunday that the US would continue its reprisals against Iran-backed factions in Iraq and Syria.
Iran’s response was swift, with Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanani reaffirming Iran’s commitment to defending its security and sovereignty. Kanani warned that Iran “will not hesitate to use its capabilities” to counter any assaults on its soil. Nasser Kanaani said that Iran has given a decisive response to every attack by the United States before, and if America attacks again, we will respond with full force.
It is worth noting that U.S. forces conducted airstrikes against sites in Yemen and Iraq. The strikes followed joint US and UK airstrikes against Houthis, marking their third coordinated attack.
The recent strikes in Syria and Iraq followed when a drone attack on a military base in Jordan on January 28, killed three U.S. soldiers, and more than 40 were injured, for which the blame was attributed by America to Iran-backed factions in the region.
