Medina: During one week at the Prophet’s Mosque, a record number of pilgrims from around the world attended.
According to Saudi media, the authorities of the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque detailed that from December 8 to 15, a staggering 5,119,000 pilgrims from around the globe had the privilege of being present at the Prophet’s Mosque and the authorities facilitated 501,938 visitors to Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) tomb.
Officials stated that 15,295 elderly individuals and other individuals with special needs gained access to designated areas. Additionally, 87,446 people benefited from translation services in various languages at the Prophet’s Mosque.
Moreover, 13,584 pilgrims visited the library of the Prophet’s Mosque to read or obtain information from books, while 4,783 individuals toured the exhibition and the wonders of the Prophet’s Mosque. Furthermore, 8,638 people utilized phone services and other communication facilities.
For the pilgrims at the Prophet’s Mosque, over 111,600 bottles of Zamzam water were distributed, and 92,992 Iftar boxes were provided to the worshippers. Additionally, 42,125 gifts were given to the worshippers and pilgrims at the Prophet’s Mosque.
