Islamabad: The caretaker government has decided to initiate a national-level program for the prevention of diabetes and hepatitis.
According to details, a meeting under the chairmanship of the caretaker federal health minister was held with the participation of health ministers and representatives from all provinces to discuss various issues related to the improvement of the health sector.
According to media reports, the federal health minister of the country stated that a decision has been made to launch a national program for the prevention of diabetes. An allocated budget of 6.8 billion has been approved for this program. Under this program, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetic patients will be provided free of cost at the government level, and an awareness campaign will also be conducted to prevent and control this disease.
Dr. Nadeem Jan mentioned that the initiation of the National Level Hepatitis Program is also underway. A national-level task force has been formed, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan is the Chairman of the Pakistan Task Force.
The caretaker federal health minister of Pakistan stated that the execution of the National Health Support Program is in progress, under which the primary health care system will be strengthened.
