Gaza: Due to continuous bombings, destruction, and casualties by Israel in Gaza, a graveyard of thousands of Palestinian Arab children has emerged. Now the United Nations has expressed concerns that another significant cause of child mortality could be dehydration, as many children in the region are suffering from severe dehydration.
According to Arab media reports, based on data recently released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, among the Palestinian citizens who have been martyred, 3,500 Palestinian children are included, with 133 of them being less than a year old.
Now the UN agency UNICEF has warned of a looming threat that a large number of children in Gaza may face deaths due to dehydration caused by water scarcity. UNICEF states that their most pressing fear is that, alongside direct casualties from Israeli bombings, the number of children who die due to dehydration might rise significantly.
Arab media reports indicate that Gaza’s water supply system has almost collapsed due to the targeted destruction of all types of infrastructure in the region by Israel through bombing. Now, Gaza has only about five percent of its water supply system left to cope with the necessities of the region.
