Parking Fees for Journalists Abolished in Karachi

Karachi: Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, has announced that the parking fees will not be charged from journalists throughout the city. He made the declaration to abolish the fees for journalists, stating that the institutions under his jurisdiction are making significant efforts to bring about improvements. He urged journalists to highlight the issues, and assured them that they will be resolved to the best of his abilities.

Murtaza Wahab stated that practical changes require some time, and efforts will be made to carry out affairs in a transparent and fair manner in the next four years. He promised to fulfill the commitments made and emphasized the deep connection he has with the Karachi Press Club, as his father was also a journalist. He expressed these sentiments while addressing the officials and members of the Karachi Press Club during his visit accompanied by Deputy Mayor Karachi, Salman Abdullah Murad, on Wednesday. On this occasion, the President of the Karachi Press Club, Saeed Sarbazi, and General Secretary, Shoaib Ahmed, also delivered speeches and presented Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab with a shield, cap, and flowers on behalf of the Karachi Press Club.

Mayor Karachi visited various departments of the Press Club and later expressed his views, stating that the tradition of granting funds to the Karachi Press Club will be maintained and further increased. He announced that parking fees will not be charged from journalists throughout the city, declaring an end to the fees for their convenience. He urged journalists to highlight the issues, and assured them that efforts will be made to resolve them thoroughly.

Murtaza Wahab stated that the Karachi Press Club has always supported democracy and advocated for the voice of democracy and its rights. He praised the remarkable traditions of the Karachi Press Club and expressed hope that the club will continue to be a strong and powerful voice for democracy.
