Gul to captain Afridi in National T20 Cup

LAHORE: Islamabad captain Umar Gul has roped in former Twenty20 captain Shahid Afridi for the National T20 Cup starting from August 25.

The draft-based domestic tournament will be three week long, and will be played in Rawal Pindi and Multan.

The eight-team tournament shall be played from August 25 to September 16.

Former T20 skipper of National team Shahid Afridi will play under the captaincy of Umar Gul for Islamabad.

Whereas, Misbah ul Haq will lead Karachi Whites in the shorter format tournament.

There are two teams from Karachi and Lahore, while Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar and FATA will have one each.


Drafting is underway at the moment. We will unveil complete squads of all teams once the event wraps up.
