Lahore: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz attended a police passing out parade dressed in a police uniform on Thursday in Lahore. CM Punjab stated that her government will increase female police representation in police force.
During the ceremony at the Police Training College in Lahore, CM Maryam Nawaz was honored with a guard of honor and took the opportunity to distribute awards to outstanding performers. The chief guest of the event also inspected the parade, engaging closely with the new graduates.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Minister of Punjab expressed her deep respect for the police uniform, adding that wearing the police uniform made her realize the great responsibility it entails.
The Chief Minister specifically praised the female officers present at the event and stated her administration’s objective to increase the number of women in the police force. She praised the women in uniform and expressed hope that they would serve the public effectively.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted the importance of the rule of law, stating that societies cannot progress without the enforcement of law and order.
The ceremony was also attended by the IG Punjab, Usman Anwar, alongside the Chief Minister, who supported her vision of inclusivity in the police force.
