Daesh recruiting fighters for Syria

KARACHI: A large number of militants willing to fight in Syria have been recruited and sent to Quetta, revealed a Joint Investigation Report (JIT) of a suspect held by law enforcement agencies in Karachi.

Abdul Aziz, a suspected member of the militant Islamic State group (Daesh), has disclosed during the investigation that one of his comrades from Karachi was killed while fighting in Syria.

He said Jaffar was resident of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, who was apparently recruited by a man identified as Nasir . The JIT report quoted him as saying that Nasir is responsible for sending money and recruits to Quetta from where they travels to Syria.

Aziz further said that he was affiliated with Haji Khalil Group of Junoodul Fida and that Khalil was now operating in the name of Haji Haider.

He said that Haider maintains contacts with militants through social networking website Facebook.
