I’m a Muslim, I know my Islam: Zareen Khan

Zareen-Khan

MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Zareen Khan has earned a lot of ire for starring in her upcoming movie Hate Story 3, which is sure to feature a couple of bold scenes.

Zareen Khan made headlines and raised eyebrows when she starred in Hate Story 3. The movie is generating quite the publicity for being one of the boldest releases of Bollywood this year. The movie stars Sharman Joshi, Daisy Shah, Karan Singh Grover and Zareen herself.

However, starring in the movie has also caused the Bollywood actress a little trouble, since according to her, she is receiving a lot of hate from Muslim fans. This is what Zareen had to respond to all those criticising her:-

“I know my religion, I know my Islam. At the end of the day, whatever I do is between me and my God.”

Zareen also further said that Islam teaches people not to point fingers at others and that those who did not like her, should just not watch her movie.

Zareen Khan was one of the many actresses that Dabangg actor Salman Khan introduced to the Indian film industry. Interestingly, the cast of Hate Story 3 also includes Daisy Shah, another actress who was introduced to Bollywood by Salman Khan.

When Zareen was asked as to what her mentor Salman Khan thought about the bold scenes, she stated that she was quite scared and intimidated by Salman and that she did not speak much in front of him.

“I don’t know about Daisy. I am very scared of Salman and intimidated by him. My talkative behaviour disappears and I am a very different person when Salman is in front of me.”

She also said that she was hesitant to speak to Salman about the movie since she knew he was not in favour of bold and kissing scenes in movies. Salman had earlier stated that he did not see any sense or understand what was the use of kissing scenes in movies.

“Salman didn’t know for the longest that I am doing ‘Hate Story 3’. I was in fact scared to discuss this with him. It was because I know his school of thought and I knew it would not be a great idea to discuss this with him.”
