ISLAMABAD – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) submitted a written reply to the judicial commission which was setup to probe into rigging allegations of 2013 general elections.
ECP stated that a large number of forms 15 were missing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in general elections held in 2013, followed by Sindh which was holding second position in missing of forms 15.
Furthermore, ECP stated in its reply to the judicial commission that Punjab was at third position for missing of the forms 15 in 2013 general elections.
The ECP claimed that missing of forms 15 and seals breaking could not be considered a planned rigging rather those could be considered within the ambit of negligence.
According to the sources, the NADRA (National Database Registration Authority) report also did not confirm that 2013 general election was rigged through proper planning.
The report stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf allegations were baseless and the PTI also failed to provide the evidence of planned rigging.
