LAHORE – Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan said that we will not pay every country which plays in Pakistan.
Zimbabwe became the first test-playing side to tour Pakistan after the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan squad in 2009 and it was rumored that the African players were given $12,500 each to be to visit the country.
Shahryar Khan, in an interview stated that a it was a one sided deal and the board will not pay every country which plays in Pakistan. “It was just a one-time deal. It does not mean that we will be paying every team which tours Pakistan,” he added.
The PCB chairman said that Pakistan will tour Zimbabwe in August.
He said that Zimbabwe’s tour of Pakistan was an exception and he was thankful to them for playing in the terror-hit country.
He added that PCB is in talks with Sri Lanka for hosting them and said that it was likely that the island state will play in the country after the statements issued by the chief of Sri Lanka cricket Sidarth Wettimuny.
